Companies gain access to our exclusive network of top tier consultants that have insight into agencies, programs, and decision makers who can help you win and execute on the next contract. You will find the perfect consultant on GovProp.
After a hard fought win at DHS, we needed to staff a highly qualified SME with program insight for a task order. After four weeks, we couldn’t find the right consultant using the standard recruiting and job sites. We turned to GovProp and with one search we were matched with the perfect consultant whose skills and in-depth domain knowledge gave us what we needed to write a winning proposal. Turns out there were only five of these SMEs in the entire U.S. and four of them were working for other competitors. GovProp delivered.
GOVPROP is extremely intuitive, intelligent, and efficient providing top-notch proposal resources nation-wide. The site allows users the ability to filter on the types of resources required providing a listing of available resources to meet any budgetary and time constraints. When proposals drop, companies do not have the luxury of spending days and weeks sourcing through countless resumes of proposal support consultants and meeting with proposal support companies to find the right resources to support their critical proposal responses. With GOVPROP, organizations are able to quickly find vetted and verified proposal support in seconds with a click of a mouse. I highly recommend it!

Receive funds via whatever payment methods best suits your needs, including STRIPE, Direct Deposit / ACH, Wire Transfer, or Local Funds Transfer (LFT). Finally, government contractors no longer pay a king’s ransom for their favorite consultants.
You should not be responsible for filing 1099-MISC forms for their consultants through GovProp.com.
One of the benefits of hiring consultants through GovProp.com is that, in general, if a consultant is correctly classified as an independent contractor, the you should not be responsible for reporting payments on Form 1099-MISC. The reason is that our escrow service is a “third-party payment network.” When you make payments through our third-party payment network, Form 1099 reporting becomes a GovProp.com responsibility, and is no longer the contracting company’s responsibility. Specifically, we are obligated to report payments to independent contractors on Form 1099-K when applicable, which means contractors should not be obligated to report on Form 1099-MISC. Therefore, GovProp.com no longer sends Form 1099-MISC on behalf of contractors, and all consultants classified as U.S. Persons must submit Form W-9 information to us on the GovProp.com platform, so that our escrow service can accurately report on Form 1099-K.
The foregoing assumes you have correctly classified your consultant as an independent contractor to you, instead of an employee. As a reminder, you are responsible to determine proper classification of all of your consultants as either independent contractors or employees. For U.S.-based consultants, you should refer to the IRS guidelines and other federal, state, and local regulations applicable to you. If your consultant should be classified as an employee, then you should use the GovProp.comPayroll service. When you use this service, our staffing provider will employ the worker, handle all of the withholding and payment of taxes, and provide the worker with a Form W-2.
Naturally, we’re not experts on tax matters for your specific business, so you should consult a tax professional if you have questions or concerns about this or any other tax-related issues. If you’re not based in the U.S. or have additional questions, please consult your local tax representative for more information on filing tax forms in your country.
